Don't know where or how to begin that essay, thesis, story, article, or whatever you've been assigned to write? Writer's block won't be an issue if you take the following advice, it is filled with writing tips to get that written work finished, and maybe even published about as fast as you can say supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.

Writing Techniques Will Break that Writer's Block

Start out with a writing technique that is easy to follow. One such writing technique would be to start with a storyboard. You can easily draw up a storyboard or you can download free storyboards that are blank to fill in. Using a storyboard is one of my favorite writing techniques as it can be applied to many other projects such as making videos, making it a great video creation technique as well.

Great Writing Techniques Inspire Great Writing

A great writing technique is to ask questions. Questions will inspire your writing to flow like water. Ask yourself the following questions:
  • Who or what is the topic?
  • What makes the topic interesting?
  • What does the reader want to know?
  • What are the talking points or events and details?
  • When did this happen?
  • Where did this happen?
  • Is there a problem?
  • What is the problem?
  • How was the problem resolved?
  • What would you like the reader to remember or take with them?
  • How can I grab my readers attention with a quick explanation?
That last one is crucial if you're writing a book, copywriting, or just need to write a summary.

If you have to do some research in order to answer those questions, you at least have an idea of the information you are looking for because you are looking for the answers to those questions.

Once you've answered all of the questions above using that information you mined from the deep abyss you'll see that your first draft of whatever you are writing is complete and your writer's block is gone.

Need a Final Draft?

To get to that final draft, you just have to organize those answers in a logical order, and show the reader how those answers are true by using accurate information, statistics, descriptions, and comparisons.

Resonate With Proof

Showing your reader statistics, factual information, descriptions, and comparisons obtained through information mining will give your work a residency in your reader's mind, activating their imagination, and will keep your reader glued.

You don't just get facts and statistics when you go information mining. You are familiarizing yourself with your potential readers, learning writing styles that appeal to your readers by looking at examples that have a lot of positive feedback, and you find examples on how to layout your writing in a logical manner.
